Here you will find the complete radio broadcast of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, in three streaming-audio recordings. The 2010 production, which was the world’s first radio production of a Shakespeare play in Original Pronunciation, was produced by Kansas Public Radio, in partnership with University Theatre at the University of Kansas. These copyrighted recordings are made available courtesy of Kansas Public Radio and Darrell Brogdon. The original stage production was directed by Paul Meier, with Original Pronunciation dialect coaching by David Crystal and Paul Meier.
Original music was composed and conducted by Ryan McCall. The production features the same celebrated cast as the original stage production, produced at the University of Kansas. A complete cast list can be heard at the end of the third recording, below.
